Excellent Teaching Resource

I use this book constantly with my intermediate students. Having standard notation, ABC, and chords on one page saves so much time. The tune selection is spot-on for building a solid session repertoire. The wire binding holds up well to regular use.

Absolutely Everything Included!

Best value purchase I’ve made for learning Irish music. This bundle covers the entire journey, from learning the whistle basics and ornaments to mastering a huge range of session tunes. Couldn’t ask for a more comprehensive or clearly presented set.

Great Collection, Solid Format

A very useful collection of tunes for the advancing player. While I knew some already, having them clearly laid out with reliable chords and ABC notation is fantastic. The finger charts are less relevant for me now, but the core content and CD are excellent. Wire binding is always a plus.

All the Session Tunes I Need

Fantastic value getting both session books together. I play the fiddle and this covers pretty much everything needed for the local sessions. The CDs are invaluable for getting the rhythm right. Highly recommend this set for any serious learner.

Perfect Kick-Start for Whistle!

As a complete beginner, this bundle was ideal. The whistle tutor is incredibly clear, taking me step-by-step. Then having Session Book 1 meant I could immediately start learning proper tunes I hear people play. Made learning feel really rewarding!

The Perfect Next Step

After working through Book 1, this was exactly the challenge I needed. The tunes are more complex but are presented just as clearly. It helped me expand my repertoire for faster sessions. The CD is essential for getting the feel right.
